Background on Craft in the Courtyard

Artsville reached out to Biltmore Village merchants with the idea that craft conveys creativity across many genres. Our mission, to provide exposure to artists and platforms for creative businesses, come together in this intimate gathering space for an afternoon mixer at 18 Brook Street in Biltmore Village (with parking available.) As a component of Artsville’s Virtual Gallery of Artists cohort, pop-ups are a one of many opportunities to show the work of our spring and fall makers who receive a three-month intensive in marketing, mentoring and branding guidance to build their businesses. At Craft in the Courtyard, contemporary crafts, so relevant to the the crafts culture of our region, are interpreted with special mastery in select mediums: Sarah Garrard for glass, Kurt Ross for Ceramics, Tiffany Payne and Elizabeth Walton for jewelry, and Emelie Weber Wade for wearable weavings.
