This featured artist is part of Artsville's Virtual Gallery of Art spring cohort. Participants benefit from three months of marketing and mentorship to educate and equip them to continue to pursue their craft. Witness their creations firsthand at the Artsville exhibit at the Ferguson Family YMCA in Candler until May 31. Additionally, explore their crafts at Craft in the Courtyard on Thursday, April 25, from 5-7 pm, located at 18 Brook Street in Biltmore Village. This event is co-hosted by Artsville, Wink Salon, Further Boutique, and FIG Bistro.

Jodie Karr, is a dedicated artist whose creative odyssey unfolds amidst the vibrant backdrop of Asheville, NC, reflecting roots firmly planted in the serene landscapes of the Blue Ridge. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and a Minor in Art Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, Jodie has honed her craft in printmaking, painting, and design with a unique perspective and flourish.

Jodie's artistic pursuit transcends mere skill—it's a passionate exploration of surrealism and Dadaism, breathing life into traditional art forms and experimenting boldly with various mediums. With each stroke of the brush and every meticulously crafted print, Jodie invites viewers into a world where imagination knows no bounds. Jodie's artistic repertoire spans a diverse array of mediums, from screen-printed fabrics and handcrafted clothing to acrylic masterpieces and intricate copper intaglio prints.
